The foundation for Intelligent Operating Suites

One local-first foundation. Suites built for the work in front of you.

CourtneyOS is the platform that brings focused operating suites, shared capabilities, and dependable resources into one environment. Start with the foundation, then add the suites that fit your work.

CourtneyOS is not a traditional computer operating system. It is a platform for purpose-built Intelligent Operating Suites.

How CourtneyOS works

The foundation stays consistent. The suite changes with the work.

CourtneyOS provides the shared environment. Each suite adds a focused set of tools, workflows, and resources without turning the platform into one oversized application.

  1. 01

    Install the foundation

Download CourtneyOS for your computer and open a local-first environment designed to grow with the suites you choose.

  2. 02

    Choose a suite

Add a purpose-built suite for litigation, document work, or another supported workflow. Each suite keeps its own identity and tools.

  3. 03

    Work from one environment

Use shared platform capabilities and move between installed suites without giving up the structure each kind of work requires.

  4. 04

    Reach dependable resources

Open maintained guides, forms, court information, and other public references from the website or directly from a connected suite.

Public resources

Useful on the web. Connected when a suite needs them.

CourtneyOS maintains a public resource layer that stands on its own and gives connected suites dependable destinations for courts, forms, rules, filing systems, and practical guidance.

Local-first by design

Your work should remain under your control

CourtneyOS uses local-first behavior as a platform principle. When a feature needs to transmit data or depart from that default, it should tell you clearly before it happens.

Local-first platform principle
01
Your workspace lives on your machine
Suite documents, notes, and workspace data are stored locally by default rather than being placed in a remote account merely to remain accessible.
02
Exceptions should be visible
If a feature needs an external service, CourtneyOS should identify what is being sent and why instead of hiding the exception in background behavior.
03
Your work remains portable
Suites should support useful exports and avoid turning access to your own material into a support request or subscription hostage.
04
Core work is not defined by a connection
Local suite functions should remain useful when the internet is unavailable, with connected features identified separately.
